I love the simplicity of their menu and the place itself. The owner seemed like a nice guy... he was chatting up everyone ... except us lol! I guess he was too caught up with other conversations and most people that came in seemed like regulars.
Since, I do get full easily ... especially after starving myself, I ordered a single burger ... and then a CREAMSICLE MILKSHAKE! I love creamsicles and when I'm at work and my wallets a tad too light I buy one for myself, especially in the summer heat :). Boyfriend ordered a burger with fries... because frankly, I wanted fries too .... just didn't think we should both order the burger + fries combo (note Burger Burger incident).
Boyfriend's was the salmon burger:
He didn't complain, but we actually cut our burgers up to share. As much as I like salmon, this did not appeal to me. No clue why, just not my cup of tea. The fries were decent, just very potato-y because it's not the powdered stuff :D.
My turkey burger was alright:
It wasn't dry, nor extremely juicy... just turkey.
Now onto the best part of the meal, the MILKSHAKE!
It was fantastic to say the least, I've never seen another place with the creamsicle flavour. Amazing, when compared to other standard flavours.
I have to say the meal was decent, but I don't see myself returning anytime soon. For one, the price is a tad on the higher side - $28 (incl. tips) for lunch for two, not too bad... but it's lunch. And more importantly, another last minute trip to Hong Kong in t minus 24 hrs.
Why must there be a high season for air travel? My ticket is more than enough to buy my sister's new toy AND a flash (she bought the canon eos 50D kit... and I had fun with it... see double post). The good part of this trip is: getting to see ALL (my family's huge and all over the place ...especially on my mom's side) of my cousins!
Speaking of turkey burgers:
please note/watch 0:28! :D
Anyways, I should start packing ... soon!
